$15,000 Donation to Aid National Malaria Center The Cambodia Daily Mosquito Net Campaign will donate $15,000 to the National Malaria Center. The bulk of the money comes from GTZ, the German government's agency for foreign-aid projects in Cambodia. GTZ's Kampot provincial office is donating $13,790 to the campaign. The remaining $1,210 was collected from Cambodia Daily readers and donation boxes. The money will be used to help provide insecticide- impregnated mosquito nets to poor people in malarial areas. The Cambodia Daily mosquito net drive began last year as a one-year campaign to help prevent malaria. Mosquito nets treated with pesticides that are non-toxic to humans have been shown to reduce the incidence of malaria.
