The blankets, bags and cases here in the market are all woven and constructed by hand. Ethnic minority women in the countryside have passed on the centuries-old tradition of weaving all-natural cotton fibers into the beautiful goods that you see here. These days, when it is cheaper and easier for people to buy mass-produced clothing and fabrics, such a tradition is rare.
